Labor Day in Grooveyland!

As Eddie and I entered Groveland on Saturday after a fun filled drive full of Beatles music, drunk people at gas stations and Dollar Tree adventures we were greeted by a sign on the Iron Door that read "Welcome to Grooveyland, drink some frickin' coffee and eat our pickles".

From then on - Groveland was Grooveyland.
On Sunday all of us girls went down to the little lake for the day.
Here's Gramms and Karlie
me and Pop
Taylor and the frog she caught
me and aunt Tammy
Mom and I decided to build a sandcastle
Here is my awesome contribution

I didn't last long. Soon it was just mom down there sculpting away!

The final masterpiece
A moon man that I found
complete with geometric shapes - and candy corn - later eaten by a couple of little girls who I think... I think... thought they were invisible to the rest of us as they ate food out of the sand.
My mom used real sand toys to make her castle.
Before we left Taylor and I decided to free her frog.
bye bye froggie man
but he wouldn't go away. He kept swimming back to the shore.
We decided that his mom was this dead one in the sand and that he missed her.
When we got back Brittney and I had a little impromptu photo shoot

Then mom jumped in
and Papa - who pretty much lives in his chair - took a photo with me

After dinner I forced all the girls to take a picture

Then it was birthday cake time!!!
20 candles YIPEE!!!
Here is a photo of me, my cake, and dad in his 8th month of pregnancy.
I blew out all the candles in one breath.
Strawberry cake with vanilla frosting!

and vanilla ice cream. yummmmmy!
ahh... here is Taylor and my tissue.

Highlights from the weekend included:

- learning that Dollar Tree includes tax
- having the Ranger come by and shine his flashlight in on a bunch of people watching TV because us three ladies whispering out on the deck were much too loud for Pine Mountain Lake's senior community's peeping tom's wives.
- Britt being thrown into the lake by Jerry
- coming home to a second noise violation.
Thank you again senior community.
- driving home all by myself.
Boy was that an exciting ride!

You sound to have had quite a visit. Your post prompted me to look up Pine Mountain Lake on Google. With the exception of the old moaners, looks like quite a pleasant spot.
