Christmas Quote

We're going to try and do a ton of quotes this month.
Here's the first one.

A Letter to My Home

Dear 430 -

Thank you for having skylights that allow
me to look up and see the moon from my living room sofa.

Thank you for rafters and beams that
are perfect for tinsel and Christmas lights.

Thank you for a fireplace that I don't have to light.
It keeps me warm when I get home
from work at one in the morning.

I love you

Thanksgiving 2009

Ant and I drove up to Fremont on Wednesday night for Thanksgiving to have ourselves some home cooked turkey feast time.

(i will warn you that anthony is not in this post because he was at his mom and dad's all day)
(so if you are a HUGE anthony fan don't waste your time - this post is anthonyless)

I woke up on Thursday to mom cooking and me facing a long day ahead - so I got to work on our name cards.
Aren't they so cute?
I taped the name tags to toothpicks stuck in tiny crab apples

Everyone arrived around 11 and we got to work doing what we do best
(taking too many photos)
Aunt Sheri, Aunt Tammy, and momasan
Aunt Tammy said that I needed to see what everyone else sees when they look at me since my head is always stuck behind a camera
Nice Eddie - nice.
We decided to take some "oh my gosh you caught us!" photos.
yes we get this into it
and it was my idea - thank you very much
I would also like to post a shout out to the self timer button
"oh look you caught us chatting at the party!" hahahaha
Eddie, Mom, Tammy, Gramsy, and Joey
Me and Gram-a-lam
Me, Taylor, Britt
Then we broke out the photo booth application and things got a little crazy

Megan and Leah are pros now
and I think it's safe to say that Grandma is too

Brittney and I were chatting on Facebook and also sitting right next to each other. Can you say - sad?
Mom cooked away as always
and then we feasted like pigs
and decided that we could feed a few small countries with our leftovers

Happy Thanksgiving (yesterday) everybody!

Something to Love Saturday #10

Yes this is late - big surprise!

Something to Love THIS PAST Saturday was:
the people who actually came to the party.

we invited a bunch of people to come out
and have some good old fashioned fun with us

I'd say that a good thirty people said they'd come

but no

we got two carloads of people.

one of which was not even full.

Thank you to the people who came
We love you
(more than everyone else)
(kidding)
(kind of)

My First Year!

I don't know how many of you remember this post (or were here to see it at the time)
But it has been a year since I first started blogging for Harbor Cottage and I am so proud that I stuck it out!

So in honor of my first year I am posting one of the engagement pictures that Andie took for us.

And that's all you're gonna get cause there's 699 more where that came from
and you'll just have to wait!

Happy birthday little blog o' mine!

Re-Stringing the Lights

MUCH BETTER!

-Kels

The Brightest House on the Block

I felt so bad for our neighbors last night
Anthony picked me up from work and this is what I came home to:

He had gotten really large bulb lights for FREE (because we're both always talking about how we like really large bulbs) and hung them up on the porch.

But the darn lights were so bright that you could see our house from 1/2 a mile away.
I think we're going to string them in the yard below the fence line so they aren't so distracting.

I do love them though. They are very cool.

Yes, We are Grown Ups... I think

1 part oreo (crumbled)
and 1 part gummy worms

It was an all day photos session

And they are AMAZING

too bad you don't get to see them yet.
oh so sad.
because we look good

you'll just have to wait until they are up for public viewing.
