[T.A.C. 6 months old]

Little Tommy Augie (as Leeland calls him) is 6 months old! Halfway to one - holy moly!

My jumping bean LOVES to jump. He jumps for hours in the standalone jumper (thank you Mimi!) that we replaced the doorway one with, since he kept bumping his head on the door frame. Yikes!

He also loves to dance on his back. Sounds funny, cause it is. He kicks his feet and slams his arms up and down, which gets him lifting most of his body into the air, and somehow he propels himself backwards. It's literally so odd, and yet hilarious to watch and seriously impressive. I would liken it to the "bridge" pelvic tilt exercise. A lot of trunk support on this little man.

No interest in crawling. We've been getting him on his tummy several times a day now, which we (oops) didn't do much of for the first 4? 5? months of his life. Second child problems, I tell ya. He's learning to like it more, especially if his favorite Angie pug is around OR his big brother OR a ton of toys in a circle all around him.

Wants to eat everything we are eating, so we mostly let him try everything. He is a big fan of anything mixed with apple sauce and pureed carrots. He'll eat almost anything, but he is not a lover of green things yet. LOVES to feed himself with his spoon. HUGE MESS, usually followed by immediate bath.

We've been taking more time lately to feed him the bottle ourselves. It takes some patience, but he will be big and independent soon enough. Trying to enjoy it all. He loves to drink his own bottle all by himself. It's messy.... but it's all good.

Loves travelling in the car, and has been on a couple long trips with us. He is too good!

Still hard to get a good belly laugh out of this boy. Smiles are practically free, but dang, do you have to work for a big old laugh! Loves sitting up and standing, but still not really confident on his own in any position besides laying down.

Little man LOVES baths and sucking on a clean, wet washcloth the whole time. He also likes sand. Took a little weeknight trip to Santa Cruz about a week ago, and he LOVED watching the waves in awe and face planting in the sand.

Finally got him into a big boy crib. He had outgrown his wooden bassinet (thank you to Stuart for letting us borrow it for so long) long ago, and it was time to move him. Transitioned into it like a champ. No hiccups in his awesome sleeping patterns.

Life with two is good now. We've got it down (for now). Everyone seems content and dare I say, happy? Woo hoo!!

I love this kid. He's got million dollar smiles, the brightest, cheeriest blue eyes, and a scream that could tear down the walls. He's one of a kind, and he's alllllllll ours.
