Hiking in Colorado & Oregon - back in July

I also wanted to log in our two hikes from the July road trip. We hiked a short one in Oregon and then a slightly longer one in Colorado with my Uncle Steve.

We had a great time at both places for sure. Hiking truly invigorates your body - it's amazing what a simple walk uphill can do!

Hiking up Mission Peak - back in October

Back in October my uncle Hugh, aunt sheri, and my Dad went on a little hike up Mission Peak. I wanted to make sure and blog about it so I can add it to my hiking list for 2012.

We had so much fun hiking that day and catching up on life - I want to remember to hike with these awesome people more often.

Christmas 2012

Well, another Christmas has passed us by. This year we packed so much into the last five days that I've literally lost my voice from so much talking.

We spent Sunday at the Camello's baking up some Portuguese sweet bread. This was my first attempt and I had a lot of fun learning from my father in law AKA The Sweet Bread Guru.

On Monday, I had work and then I spent some time with my Grandma Weems and aunt Judy. In the evening, we headed to my aunt and uncle's for dinner, followed by our usual church service at POP. Then, we went to Nana's for a white elephant gift exchange and some more family time.

We started a new tradition after Nana's of watching Anthony's favorite Christmas cartoons before bed. They are super cute and old fashioned.

Then, on Christmas day we woke up at the crack of dawn and opened our gifts. After that, we went to the Camello's to open more gifts and have 1st breakfast. We followed that up with 2nd breakfast at my parents' house along with more gifts. Then my whole family came over and we had dinner and played another round of white elephant.

It was a LONG and EXHAUSTING holiday... but a great one as always. We were lucky to be able to see some of our awesome friends over the past few days as well. Lucky, lucky, lucky as always.

Merry Christmas and Happy (almost) New Year!
