Boys vs. Girls

I'm trying to figure out why the two people in my living room haven't left yet.
It's 11:18 and I've mentioned being sleepy, tired, ready for bed, and exhausted so many times.
Why don't they get the hint?
Oh yeah - they are men.

30 Books in 2010

Last year I decided to make the New Years Resolution to read 30 books in 2010. Well... I almost made it. 20 books were read by me this year and I am actually pretty proud of it. Technically this figure makes last year's figure a lot less impressive considering how crazy this year was compared to last year. Do you want to know what else is not impressive? The fact that Harry Potter both started and ended my year. Sometimes I am such a loser.

#1 - "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" By J.K. Rowling
#2 - "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" by J.K. Rowling
#3 - "The Last Song" by Nicholas Sparks
#4 - "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe" by C.S. Lewis
#5 - "The Horse and His Boy" by C.S. Lewis
#6 - "Prince Caspian" by C.S. Lewis
#7 - "Treasure Island" by Robert Louis Stevenson
#8 - "Rescue Me" by Nicholas Sparks
#9 - "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" by C.S. Lewis
#10 - "Pet Sematary" by Stephen King
#11 - "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch + Jeffrey Zaslow
#12 - "The Boleyn Inheritance" by Philippa Gregory

Can we talk about the e-mail I received from miss Sarah Camello this morning?

How funny is that?

Fifth Date: Lucero

Awhile back we went to a pretty amazingly awesome show in San Francisco.
My first time at the Great American Music Hall.
First time standing against the stage the whole time.
First time getting smooshed by a very large drunk crazy woman who did in fact jump on the stage and attack the band.
First time paying too much for parking - well I guess it's not the first time for that one.
My first time seeing LUCERO!!!!!

We had a great time.
I had a great time.
Did Anthony have a great time?
I don't really know because my camera stole my heart.

Our first? Christmas Tree

Technically this year's tree is our third Christmas tree but it's our second real tree and our first tree purchased as married people. Yes I said married people. I know that sounds weird.

Anthony did not want to cooperate with me and the camera so I apologize now for these photos.

ahhh... the process of getting a tree from the lot to the living room. So exciting.

The Thank Yous

No offense... but I am relieved.

Your 5 Most Worn Things

I got this cool IDEA from another blog and thought it might be fun to do

NAME YOUR 5 MOST WORN THINGS:

 1. My converse. I finally ditched my 9 year old converse for a new pair. I wear 'em everyday.
 2. My studs. I only wear studs unless it's a special occasion - in which case I wear a pair of heart earrings that Anthony bought me hmm... five years ago?
 3. My camera. Always with me.
 4. Scarves. Do I have an obsession? No! Well... maybe.
 5. My rings. Never take them off. My wedding and engagement rings
and the ring my grandma gave my mom that she gave me.

That's it. Pretty simple, right?

The Right Side is Definitely Lighter than the Left Side!!!

In Anthony's world when you get two teeth pulled in one day and they put you under... these are the things you say:

"Kelsey please take a picture of me posing with Axel!"

"Is that my bike? Did my bike come? Did they throw it over the fence? Take a picture in case it's broken in some way! Can I build it now?!?!"

Not to mention:

"Isn't it happy hour at Hooters? LET'S GO!!!"
"Kels, can I have a kiss? Please please please! No my breath does NOT smell, liar."
"This is weird. Does my face look weird? No? (hysterical laughter)"
"Where are my teeth? I want to make a necklace out of them!"
"What am I doing? Playing with a rat and watching stupid people on Youtube"
"Can I get out of the car? Why not? Ok I'll stay if I get Jello"

Oh how I love thee Anthony but.. no more laughing gas for you - and NO MORE PULLED TEETH!

Love, the person who fed you Jello and Sprite. You OWE me.

My First Raider Game

My brothers finally coerced me into going to a Raider Game the Sunday after Thanksgiving. I think you need to understand football to truly have a good time at one of these events. However - the leftover turkey sandwiches and zebra popcorn did wonders in boosting my morale.
It's important to look cute.... I don't think Anthony or my dad got the memo. Ok I take it back - dad's hat was cute :)

Me and the Edster
Moral of this story: Always bring food to a game, look cute, and try to learn the rules before purchasing a ticket to said game.

Thanksgiving 2010

I only make pies for Thanksgiving
and so far I only make apple pies
This year I had to use my new oven that cooks things a bit differently than a "completely functioning oven" so I didn't cook them long enough. Turns out that pies that aren't cooked long enough tend to be a bit dry but no one complained so I'm still happy. There's something very satisfying about making your own pie - from the crust all the way through to the peeling and cutting of the apples. I love it!

We flipped a coin this year and decided to eat dinner with The Camellos and dessert with The Weems. We finally got a good photo of all of us. Renee would disagree but I don't care. Joe's photo taking privileges have been reinstated due to this photo.
My dad pimped it out with all the girl cousins

The next day Anthony and I went to the Niles Christmas Parade as we do every year with the Camello clan. Turns out that it was Aunt Sissy's birthday too so we went into The Florence for a celebratory shot. Can you guess who's idea it was? Wrong! It was Renee!
We sat a messy table with a bunch of empty beers so she could look badass in the biker bar

Joe got cut off except for his hand :(
Isn't Jayce such a cutie?!
Jacqueline, Anthony and Joe
Sarah, Mary and Kevin
Me and Sarah
Lisa, Renee
Sissy, Jayce, Jacqueline
Sarah, Me, Mary and Julia
I like this one a lot!

Lisa, Donald, Kevin, Jamie
Anthony, Joe, Sissy, Renee, Jacqueline, Mary
Me, Julia, Sarah, Jayce

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
