4th of July - Not too Late I Hope

This 4th of July was spent in Redding, CA with Anthony's mom's side of the family.
On the 4th we all went down to Whiskeytown Lake (It's not a RIVER) for the day. It was so much fun.

After some showering we all met up at the Convention Center lawn for the fireworks.

Jacquelina!
Joe and Ant

Joe is in charge of doling out Licorice. Always. I think. Hunter sharing her "Journal" with Uncle Joe. I'm pretty sure she said it is filled with High School Musical lyrics.
Ellie is so cute. She was having so much fun with her glowstick.
Jason attempting to tickle Max.

Cake Balls!!!!! No words can describe them. Plus I've revealed the recipe to too many people already.

So Redding does this huge fireworks display with music. It's pretty much the most awesome fireworks display ever. (I am under oath to say so)

Sam watching the fireworks.

And then they turn on these football field type lights and everyone clears out!

The next morning some of us went out to the Sundial Bridge. It was pretty much awesome. We got there at 11 AM and were able to see the shadow over the spot where 11 would be on a clock.

you can see shadows of the people on top from underneath the bridge!

And then Sarah found a butterfly and touched it. (She likes bugs)

Then we all went over to Bill and Meredith's for BRUNCH which sort of became lunchish-almost dinner time-before we left.

The boys shot cans with BB guns

and the girls drove the Jeep around their property. That's Mary driving.
Someone decided it would be a good idea to watch Bill and Meredith's wedding video

Natalie and Hilary sang a little for us all
and Mary found it necessary to take photos of us holding hands on the car ride home
and Anthony holding a brush

She's a very loving sister. haha.

It was fun. Hopefully we'll get to do it all over again next year.

What great pictures Kelsey! It was such a great weekend. I am so glad you were able to come. Next year we're doing the lake all day on Sat the 3rd leaving Sunday open for food and exploring our area before the "best" fireworks:)

Oh, these pics make me sad I missed it! I can almost smell it: the sunscreen, bbq, grass, and smoke from the fireworks. Awesome fireworks pics by the way.
